Thiruvananthapuram: Broadband facility is now available on demand in almost all exchanges in urban areas and in important rural places of the circle. The Chief General Manager Telecom, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) said here on Wednesday that activation charges were waived for all broadband connections and rental waived for Start-up 250 Plan booked up to March 31. Those using the Internet facility through dial-up connection (172222) for more than 20 hours a month would find broadband 250 Plan cheaper and best as it would provide downloads up to 1 GB free and speeds up to 2 MB. Those using dial-up Internet for mail and other purposes could switch over to Home 125 Plan with a free download up to 150 MB. For details, contact a customer centre or call centre (1500).
