No to hired cars

Bangalore: Karnataka State Government Motor Drivers’ Central Association has demanded that the Government should immediately stop hiring cars from travel agencies on contract basis for official use. Addressing a press conference here, association president Thimmaiah said that they would launch a protest if the Government failed to act on their demands within 15 days. He said the government, on an average, was spending Rs. 3 lakh on a car every year. — Staff Reporter
