Rupee declines

MUMBAI: The Indian rupee turned weaker by 3.50 paise at 40.1450/1550 against the dollar on Wednesday. Analysts said the the domestic currency might gain soon on the back of renewed capital inflows as foreign institutional investors were net buyers in stock markets in the last three sessions.

At the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit opened lower at 40.14/16 a dollar against Tuesday’s close of 40.11/12. — PTI
