Bidding farewell to school life School notes

Bangalore: The outgoing students of Amara Jyothi English High School, K.R. Puram, found that bidding farewell was a bittersweet experience, at the graduation ceremony held recently.

The 114 outgoing students expressed their gratitude to their teachers, principal and the management.

Principal of the school Sai Kumari said, “You will now be in charge of your lives. The lessons and the guidance that we have given you should hold you in good stead. There are qualities you can acquire in the future which will help you lead a good life.”

Swami Chandreshanandji, founder of Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sadhana Kendra was the chief guest. In his valedictory address, he told the students that the future depended on how we dealt with the present.

Science Day

St. Sophia’s Convent, Nagarabhavi, celebrated National Science Day recently.

The children were told about the significance of the day.

Students who had excelled in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) at the district, State and national levels were felicitated on the occasion. Rakshith, Suprith and Ramya received prizes from the guests.

Annual day

St. John’s High School, Vijayanagar, celebrated its annual day recently. The highlight of the cultural programme was the dance presented by the higher primary students.

Students from nursery to high school also showcased their talent by presenting skits, dances and a drama.

Valedictory

St. Thomas Public School, New Thippasandra, held its valedictory function recently. Rev. Mathew. K.M. from United Theological College was the chief guest.

The programme began with a prayer and lighting of the lamp. Rev. Mathew told the students not to exploit others and not to get exploited.
