Two killed in accident

Udupi: Two persons were killed and one seriously injured in collision between a van and a motorcycle near Brahmavar, 15 km from here on Wednesday. Deputy Superintendent of Police M.B. Nagaraj told The Hindu that the van was on its way from Brahmavar to Padukere, while the motorcycle was coming in the opposite direction. Shekhar (42), who was driving the motorcycle, and his nine-year old daughter Nismita died on the spot, while Shekhar’s wife Prema, who was injured has been hospitalised.
