Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: Train traffic that was suspended between Parvathipuram and Rayagada (Orissa) stations after Nagavali area committee members of CPI (Maoist) blasted the signals control panel board at Gumada railway station in Komarada mandal on Tuesday night, was restored on Wednesday morning.

M. Ravindrananth Babu, OSD at Parvathipuram said that a dog squad assisted by RPF (Railway Protection Force) personnel inspected the rail track and culverts for mines in the morning and allowed the trains to run. The panel board valued over Rs. 3 lakhs was completely destroyed.
