No trust board for Chilkur Balaji temple
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The Chilkur Balaji temple has been exempted from having a trust board and an executive officer appointed by the Endowments Department.
The Government issued an order allowing these exemptions to this temple as a ‘special case’ in views of the distinct status it enjoys now. Endowments Minister J. Ratnakar Rao told reporters here on Wednesday that these exemptions had been allowed in line with the recommendations of the P. V. R. K. Prasad Committee appointed by the Government. However, a management committee would be constituted for the temple to take steps to provide facilities to pilgrims.
