Applications available for monthly dole

Krishnagiri: The district administration has invited applications from unemployed youth for providing monthly assistance.

According to a Collectorate release those registered with the District Employment Exchange five years ago and renewed their registration according to government norms are eligible to get the assistance.

Applications are available at the District Employment Office in Krishnagiri.

Under the scheme, a sum of Rs.150 would be provided to persons who had completed their SSLC, Rs. 200 for those with higher secondary qualification and Rs. 300 for graduates except those who had studied professional courses like engineering and medicine.

The monthly assistance would be provided for three years. The age limit would be 45 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes candidates and 40 years for candidates belonging to other communities as on March 31, 2007.

The applications attached with copies of mark sheets and documents should be sent to the District Employment Officer. The monthly dole would be deposited in the savings bank account of the beneficiaries.

Those who are already getting the monthly assistance have to file self-declarations at the Employment Office, the release added.
