Rain: Rs. 50 cr. released

Bangalore: The State Government has released Rs. 50 crore to the district authorities to undertake rain relief works. Meanwhile, the State has also decided to request the Centre to send a study team and urged it to immediately release Rs. 100 crore for undertaking relief works.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur, who reviewed the situation arising out of damage to property, directed the deputy commissioners to take up relief works on a war-footing.
