Workshop on robotics

Kakinada: A three-day workshop on ‘Embedded Systems and VLSI design in robotics’ was conducted at the Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology (KIET) here on Thursday. About 50 engineering students from all over the country gathered for the event and shared their knowledge in the rapidly evolving arena of robotics.

JNTU Vice-Principal B Prabhakar lighted a lamp to mark the inauguration. Professors of IIIT Henry and Pankaj delved into the latest developments in robotics and explained and how it is shaping lives around the world.

Mr. Henry gave an overview of technological advances made by India vis-a-vis achievements of countries like US and China and opined that India should be prepared to face challenges on account of slowdown in the US economy. KIET Chairman P Viswam was also present.
