Significant

The Tata Motors’ acquisition of Jaguar and Land Rover is one of the most significant achievements of an Indian company in the international corporate arena. The Tatas deserve all praise for demonstrating their intellectual and business capabilities in diverse fields such as steel, automobiles, telecommunication, information technology and hospitality. Their latest venture is an indication of their determination to emerge as one of the global leaders in the automobile industry. Indians are proud of the Tatas.

Nisha Gopalan,

The British newspaper headline “Ford says Tata to Jaguar” says it all. To preside over the acquisition of two of the world’s most famous cars and manufacture of the world’s cheapest car is truly unique. The fact that within six decades of independence, we have acquired big foreign companies is testimony to the significant and amazing growth of our economy.

S. Sudhir Kumar,

Hyderabad
