LONDON: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee had talks with his British counterpart David Miliband here on Wednesday on his way back home from Washington after discussing the controversial nuclear deal with American leaders. Details were not known, but a spokesperson of India House said the meeting was part of the continuing India-U.K. dialogue and the talks centred around bilateral and regional issues. Extensive exchange“The two leaders had an extensive exchange of views on bilateral issues and regional issues of mutual interest,” an official statement said. Mr. Miliband accepted Mr. Mukherjee’s invitation to pay an official visit to India later in the year. The meeting follows Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s visit to India in January when India-U.K. relations were discussed at the highest level.
