Credit plan launched

KOCHI: The district Credit Plan for the year 2008-09 for Ernakulam district was launched by District Collector A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish. The Plan envisages a total credit outflow of Rs.6,225.83 crore which shows 24 per cent increase over the previous year’s projections.

An annual disbursement target of Rs.1,085 crore involving a growth of 23 per cent is envisaged in agriculture and allied activities.

In tune with the government’s policy of doubling the credit flow to MSME sector, the district has projected a disbursement figure of Rs. 453.15 crore showing a growth of 30 per cent over the previous year’s projections.

An amount of Rs.2,689.86 crore is earmarked for other priority sector activities while the share of non-priority sector will be Rs.1,997.75 crore, according to a press release.
