No role for NGOs

HYDERABAD: The Government will not hand over the task of overseeing the mid-day meal programme to NGOs.

This assurance was given by School Education Minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha to the Andhra Pradesh Mid-Day Meal Workers’ Union here on Thursday.

A statement issued by union leaders Hymavathi and S. Rama said on that the Minister’s assurance came in response to a representation. – Special Correspondent
