CHENNAI: Setting up a science exhibition is not quite easy as it seems for the students of Kasthuri Bai Gandhi High School, functioning within the premises of the Directorate of Social Defence. But they set up a fine show all the same on Tuesday.

It was inaugurated by P.Manorama, chairperson, Child Welfare Committee. Simple models were used to explain complex scientific theories and this was further simplified by students who provided prompt answers. “The children are complete or partial orphans and some are destitute children growing up in an institution. To see the children take up projects with as much enthusiasm as they did and to set up the models themselves is really encouraging,” Dr.Manorama said.
