KOCHI: The Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit will introduce study centres in the name of Agamanandaswami, Chattambiswami, and Sree Narayanaguru on the main campus at Kalady. The proposal has found place in the annual budget of the varsity adopted at the Syndicate meeting held on Thursday. A national centre for Sree Sankara studies and an international centre for inter-religious studies would come up on the campus. Other announcements include Centre for Gandhian Studies (Payanoor centre); Centre for Ayyankali Studies (Thiruvananthapuram); and student hostels (Kalady). The budget with a deficit of Rs.3.58 crore expects revenue of Rs. 35.51 crore and expenditure of Rs. 39.09 crore.
