Motorcyclist knocked down

NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old woman driving a BMW car hit a 40-year-old motorcyclist on Tughlak Road here late on Wednesday night causing serious injuries.

The accident took place around midnight when Aashna Monga, returning home in her car, hit Shyam Sunder Thapa, a Class IV employee at India Trade Promotion Organisation, from behind. The victim was tossed into the air and sustained head injuries.

Aashna was accompanied by her husband Anil Monga at the time. The police were reportedly informed about the accident by the couple themselves.
