Police station inaugurated

VISAKHAPATNAM: Deputy Mayor Dorababu inaugurated the newly set up East Sub Division Police Station at Pothinamallayya Palem on Thursday. He said that the police station was established to cater to the needs of the growing population of the Madhurawada area that was fast developing into a township. He recalled that leaders of all political parties had strived for the establishment of the police station at Madhurawada in the past.
Police Commissioner N. Sambasiva Rao said that Madhurawada area was under the City Police Commissionerate in the past but was merged with the rural police in course of time. DIG Jitender, Superintendent of Police Akun Sabharwal, DCPs K.V.V. Gopala Rao (Law and Order) and P. Viswa Prasad (Traffic and Security) and Additional DCP P. Rama Rao were present.
