Life term for five

DINDIGUL: A Fast Track Court at Periakulam on Wednesday sentenced five persons to life imprisonment in a murder case. The judge also slapped a fine of Rs.5,000. The prosecution said Paramasivam (60), of Royappanpatti, had a wordy duel with his neighbour Murugan over a land issue on September 14, 2004. He and his sons, Raju, Gundu Rajendran, Raja and Kutti Kumar, attacked Murugan and murdered him before the Royappanpatti police station.
