AIADMK demo on project

Hogenakkal: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam staged a demonstration at Manalmedu near here on Thursday demanding speedy implementation of the Hogenakkal water supply and sanitation project.

According to the Survey of India, the disputed area was well within the Tamil Nadu boundary, they said. Claiming there was sufficient evidence to prove that the Hogenakkal area belonged to Tamil Nadu, they alleged sabotage by the Karnataka government.

The Tamil Nadu government had failed to protect the interests of the State, they added.
