Thai Airways to launch new service to Bangkok

CHENNAI: Thai Airways International will introduce a new flight on the Bangkok–Chennai–Bangkok sector on April 2.
General manager Pichest Laeietpiboon told reporters here on Thursday that at present the airline operated a flight (TG 522) on the Bangkok–Chennai–Dubai–Chennai–Bangkok sector on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. With the introduction of the new flight (TG 338), connectivity between Bangkok and Chennai would be all through the week.
He said the flight would leave Chennai at midnight. It would depart from Bangkok late in the evening. The aim was to meet the demand for convenient onward connections to cities beyond Bangkok. As a promotional offer, the return fare from Chennai to Bangkok would be Rs 9,500 plus taxes. It would be valid for a month, Mr Laeietpiboon said.
