Capturing ancestral heritage

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A one-day photo exhibition titled “The images of ancestral village” by former Union Minister Vijay Goel opens at Vithalbhai Patel House here on Saturday.

To be inaugurated by Vice-President Hamid Ansari, the pictures were taken by Mr. Goel while working on conservation of his ancestral “haveli” at Anandpur village.

While Mr. Goel sought help from the students of Delhi Heritage Institute to restore his “haveli”, he took time off to capture the old world charm of his village on camera.

Mr. Goel says photography is the best way to express one’s feelings. “I pursue my hobby whenever I find spare time.”
