Literary seminar held

PUDUCHERRY: It was a literary treat at the national seminar on ‘Literature, language and communication’ organised by the Department of English of Pondicherry University, inaugurated on Thursday.

The topics selected were – developing communication skills in the context of English as second language, teaching and language acquisitions, power and reach of language, language of literature and literature of language and media, language and communication. On the first day, renowned writer Ashokamitran spoke on creativity, language and literature.

Chairman of Media Development Foundation Sashi Kumar spoke on pre and extra textual modes of communication on the second day of the seminar.
