Date extended: The Cochin University of Science and Technology has extended the last date for submitting online application for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2008 to April 10 instead of April 3. A release issued by the university said that the last date for receipt of confirmation page along with the demand draft and passport size photograph addressed to the Director, IRAA unit, Cusat, Kochi, is April 15 (5 p.m.). Interview: A walk-in-interview will be held at the office of the International School of Photonics at 10 a.m. on April 8 to fill three vacant posts of Instrument/ Technician/ Technical Assistant on a temporary basis at the CELOS/International School of Photonics laboratory. Candidates having B. Sc in Physics/ Instrumentation/ Electronics or diploma in Electronics/ Instrumentation are eligible. They should bring original certificates to prove age, qualification etc.

Logistics seminar: A national seminar on logistics management organised by the School of Management Studies at the Cochin University of Science and Technology was held here on Friday.

Kannan Devan Scholarship: Students can apply for the Kannan Devan Scholarship for agriculture sciences and allied studies at Kerala University. The monthly scholarship of Rs.900 is for a period of one year. Candidates should be research scholars of Kerala origin with first or second class at the M.Sc. level. The Masters degree should be in chemistry/physics/botany/ zoology/geology. The last date for applying for the scholarship is March 31.

Anti-harassment cell: The anti-harassment Cell at Mahatma Gandhi University has been reconstituted with Razeena Padmom as chairperson.

Application: The last date for submitting applications for the project evaluation and viva-voce of the final year BSc MRT course is April 1.
