‘Work on Indiramma tanks from May 1’

Chittoor: The District Collector M. Ravi Chandra has instructed the mandal-level engineers of different departments to take up work on the yet to be started Indiramma tanks from May 1.

A review meeting with the MPDOs and mandal-level engineers of irrigation and Panchayat Raj Departments was held here on Friday to discuss the implementation of several programmes under NREGS.

Work was started on 405 tanks against identified 1,307 tanks in 1,381 Grama Panchayats in the district.
