TUMKUR: Devotees of Siddaganga Math greeted Gowrishankara Swamiji, the math’s former junior seer, as he arrived to attend the second additional civil court here on Friday. Gowrishankara Swamiji is the petitioner in a case filed on May 27, 1988, questioning his removal by Shivakumara Swamiji, senior seer of the math, on the ground of a criminal charge against him. The senior seer had ordered his removal on March 31, 1988, and had appointed Siddalinga Swamy in his place. Judge Sujatha adjourned hearing of the case to April 19.
