Former DRDO scientist dead

New Delhi: KU Limaye (62), a distinguished scientist and former Chief Controller (Research and Development) at the DRDO, passed away at Bangalore after a brief illness.

Mr. Limaye, who died on Wednesday, was with the DRDO for more than 38 years and held prestigious positions in the organisation. He had been appointed Chief Controller of (ECS) on March 1, 2005.

He obtained BE from IISc, Bangalore in 1968 and M.Tech from IIT, Kharagpur in 1976. He joined DRDO in 1968 and served at LRDE, Bangalore, till September 1996. -- ANI
