BHUBANESWAR: After facing the camera for 15 years and bagging the best actor award for four times, Oriya movie star Siddhant Mohapatra has finally ventured to be behind the camera. The actor would have his debut as the director with debutante producer duo Rajesh Mallick and Amar Mohanty backed “Kahara kete dum” announced Siddhant here on Friday. He, however, would act in the lead role, as usual, he added. But, contrary to the popular perception that he would have his actress-wife Mama Mishra cast opposite him, New Delhi-based Nepali lass Namrata Thapa would form the lead pair with him. “All through my career as an actor, I used to observe all other aspects of filmmaking like cinematography, sound recording and even post production . So I feel comfortable of handling the cast and crew,” he confided . “I would have thorough planning and designing of my venture before starting the shooting that would include a pre-production workshop with the cast and the crew,” revealed the actor who has roped in versatile actors Bijay Mohanty and Mihir Das for the film.
