Clarification

The XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, who sentenced Dinamalar Editor R. Krishnamurthy and Publisher R. Lakshmipathi to 3 months’ simple imprisonment in connection with a defamation case, had also suspended the sentence for one month. The suspension until April 28, 2008, is to enable them to prefer an appeal against the order.
