Protest against CVS

Bangalore: Members of theFKCCI and the CPI (M) on Friday held separate demonstrations in the city against the BBMP’s decision to implement Capital Value System (CVS) of property tax assessment.

Describing the CVS as “unconstitutional” taxation system, the CPI (M) members demanded that Governor Rameshwar Thakur immediately intervene and stop implementation of the new system. Members of FKCCI held a demonstration in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue.
