HDI MRI scan at Kalinga hospital

BHUBANESWAR: City-based Kalinga Hospital on Saturday said it installed a 8-channel 1.5-Telsa high definition-extended (HDI) MRI scanning system with motion correction system to facilitate faster and more accurate diagnosis of any disease.

The system was capable of performing scans of all anatomy including advanced applications like functional MRI, spectroscopy, perfusion, venograms and abdomen imaging, the hospital said in a statement.

The device could capture images of patients with reconstructions up to 2,700 images per second, faster than low telsa system.
