Project to reform jail inmates

Patna: Authorities are planning to “give lessons” to inmates of Beur Adarsh jail here in an effort to reform them.

A first of its kind project, under which university teachers will visit the jail and impart them lessons on different subjects, is likely to take off late next month.

“Vidya Nirman Project is the first ever project aimed at reforming the jail inmates and improving their lot and it was conceptualised by the Bihar Governor R. S.Gavai,” said Officer on Special Duty Krishna Kumar.
