3,695 posts for engineering wing

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has created 3,695 posts for the newly formed engineering cadre of the Department of Local Self Government. The cadre consists of posts of staff redeployed from the engineering wings of departments of Urban Affairs, Panchayats and Rural Development and posts transferred from Irrigation and Public Works departments. It functions under a Chief Engineer and eight superintending engineers.

Minister for Local Self Government Paloli Mohamedkutty said employees interested in postings under the Department had given their options.
