Chennai IIT team coming

Staff Reporter

Sangareddy: A two-member team from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, will be visiting the ordnance factory at Eddumailaram on Monday to study the facilities available to conduct classes from this academic year.

The members, who will be staying here for two days, will study the available working place for IIT staff and students.

According to Medak district Collector Piyush Kumar, the earlier team from Chennai that consisted of civil engineers have zeroed on ODF and the new team will do a much closer study so that the classes can begin any time after June.

The closed down Grammar school building, which was offered by the ODF authorities, was found to be sufficient to conduct first-year classes but the school building, which was left unattended for long, required repairs.

The Collector said the Roads and Building Department was told to complete the repair work by June.
