Panchayats to manage fair price shops

BHOPAL: Gram Panchayats will look after all those fair price shops in Madhya Pradesh henceforth that are not being managed properly by the cooperative societies, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affiars Akhand Pratap Singh said.

He also said that the Govt. has allocated Rs 20 crore in the next year’s budget to compensate losses in running of fair price shops by cooperative societies. - PTI
