Gopal’s supporters to quit BSP

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: Following the expulsion of the former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) State unit president B. Gopal from the party, his supporters have decided to quit the party and form a new organisation.

The new organisation, Karnataka Rajya Sarvajana Samaja B. Gopal Abhimanigala Balaga, would be formally launched at a function to be held at Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall in Bangalore on April 1.

Balaga’s general secretary Anekal Krishnappa told presspersons that continuing in the BSP without Mr. Gopal would be difficult for his followers who had joined the party along with him.

To ensure that Mr. Gopal remains active in politics, his supporters had formed the new organisation.

Thousands of Mr. Gopal’s fans from across the State would participate in the programme on April 1 and decide their future course of action under Mr. Gopal’s guidance, Mr. Krishnappa said.
