New daily flight from Kerala to Delhi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Aviation Company of India’s (NACIL) daily ‘day return flights’ from Thiruvananthapuram international airport to New Delhi via Kochi will commence on Sunday.

The flight, to be operated using A-320 aircraft, will be flagged off by Mayor C. Jayan Babu in the airport at 5.30 a.m. on March 30, when the summer schedule comes into effect.

The flight will further improve air connectivity between Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and New Delhi. According to D. Murali, Area Marketing Manager, NACIL, the passengers would be able to return to Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi on the same day after completing their appointments in Delhi.

The IC 466 flight will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 6.15 a.m. to arrive at Kochi at 6.55 a.m. The flight will depart at 7.30 a.m. from Kochi to reach New Delhi at 10.30 a.m.

In the return direction, the IC 465 flight will leave New Delhi at 5.30 p.m. to reach Kochi at 8.30 p.m. It will later fly to Thiruvananthapuram at 9.15 p.m. to reach the international airport here at 9.55 p.m. Along with this, the NACIL has also introduced a late evening flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Mumbai via Kochi providing connectivity to international flights from Mumbai, especially the non-stop Mumbai-New York flights of Air India.

The IC 161 flight from Mumbai will depart at 5.35 a.m. to reach Kochi at 7.20 a.m. The flight will leave for the capital at 8.15 a.m. and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 9 a.m.

The IC 162, in the return direction, will depart on all days from Thiruvananthapuram at 8.20 p.m. to reach Kochi at 9 p.m. The same flight will depart at 9.40 p.m. to reach Mumbai at 11.25 p.m.

In the international sector, the NACIL, erstwhile Indian, will also operate daily flight in the Chennai-Trichy-Thriuvananthapuram-Sharjah-Thiruvananthapuram-Trichy- Chennai sector.

On all days, the IC 967 will depart from Chennai at 10 a.m. to reach Trichy at 10.50 a.m.

The flight will depart from Trichy at 11.35 a.m. to reach Thriuvananthapuram at 12.15 noon. It will depart from here at 12. 55 noon to reach Sharjah at 3.30 p.m.

The IC 968, in the return direction, will depart from Sharjah at 9.30 p.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 2.55 a.m.

The flight will depart from here at 3.30 a.m. to reach Trichy at 4.10 a.m. The flight will depart from Trichy at 5 p.m. to reach Chennai at 5.50 a.m.

The NACIL will also operate daily flight in Thiruvananthapuram- Male- Thiruvananthapuram sector. The IC 963 flight will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 10.15 a.m. to reach Male at 10.55 a.m. In the return direction, the IC 964 will depart from Male at 5.55 p.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.35 p.m.
