Free legal aid

HYDERABAD: As many as 560 grievances related to various disputes were registered at the free Clinical Legal Aid and Awareness Programme held at Round Table Government High School, Film Nagar, here on Saturday.

The camp was jointly organised by the Alpha Foundation and Andhra Pradesh High Court Legal Services Committee to benefit residents of 17 slums.

Justice D.S.R.Varma, Judge, High Court and Chairman of AP High Court Legal Services Committee and D.Subrahmanyam, Secretary, AP High Court Legal Services Committee addressed the slum dwellers and explained to them their rights and alternative legal remedies available for their grievances.

Grievances were registered at the camp and they were heard by the secretary along with senior and junior civil judges to offer free legal aid.
