Award for CISF unit at IGI Airport

NEW DELHI: The Central Industrial Security Force deployed at Indira Gandhi International Airport here has been declared the “Best Airport Unit” for 2007.

The trophy was received by Chief Airport Security Officer Udayan Banerjee at CISF Day celebrations in neighbouring Ghaziabad recently. The CISF unit at Delhi airport had recovered over 9,000 unattended or missing baggages containing cash or valuables worth about Rs.5 crore this past year.
