ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani said on Saturday that “the sacrifices made by my Kashmiri brothers and sisters will not go waste” and promised that the issue would be resolved according to the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. “We will promote peace and brotherhood with neighbouring countries.” Mr. Gillani said in his address to the National Assembly after winning a vote of confidence. The government would take forward the negotiations to seek resolution of the Kashmir issue, he said. But he underlined that confidence building measures would only be effective if the issue was seen as getting resolved according to the aspirations of Kashmiris and international principles.
