2 killed in mosque blast

KATHMANDU: Two persons were killed and six injured in a blast at a mosque in the eastern Nepal town of Biratnagar on Saturday evening.

The bomb exploded while some people were offering prayers.

According to police, 37-year-old Feroj Khan injured in the blast, did not respond to treatment and died at the B.P. Koirala Hospital in Dharan and 31-year-old Pravez Ali Miya died on the way to hospital.

Curfew

Following the blast, the administration clamped overnight curfew in Biratnagar and the surrounding area.
