Workshop on land rights

KORAPUT: Land is one of the most crucial issues and resources for tribal communities, Vidya Das, Project Coordinator, Ama Sangathan, said in a workshop on land rights held in the tribal museum of Koraput . While expressing her concern over decreasing land productivity in the region she said that the tribal communities were losing their land in several ways and were driven to penury and migration. Among others, Prafulla Chandra Mahapatra, Director, COATS and Bibekananda Mahapatra, PD, DRDA addressed the gathering .
