Patna: After declaring 2008-09 as the year of Agriculture in Bihar, the State Government has decided to kick off cattle census on April 11, 2008, Deputy Chief Minister S K Modi said. “The exercise is being undertaken following a directive from the Centre. This would help us collect reliable data on the State’s animal resources and give a boost to this allied sector of agriculture,” Mr. Modi said on Sunday. There would be one enumerator for every 900 families and a supervisor for every 10 enumerator for the census which will be the 18th such exercise, he added. Mr. Modi appealed to the people to provide correct data.
