Training centre

KARUR: Efforts will be taken to establish a centre for the speech and hearing impaired at the government hospital here, which will impart continued training to them, Collector T.N. Venkatesh has said. Inaugurating a training programme for the hearing and speech impaired at the hospital, Mr. Venkatesh said two specialists, one each from Thanjavur and Tiruchi, would visit the centre on Fridays and attend to the patients.

Joint Director of Health Services Govindasamy, Medical Superintendent M. Ramanathan and others participated.
