RAINFALL: Weather was mainly dry in the region.
TEMPERATURE: MAXIMUM: The Maximum temperatures changed little. They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 40.8°C recorded at Barber (Rajasthan).
MINIMUM: The minimum temperatures appreciably fell in east Uttar Pradesh, fell in west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly above normal in west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 12.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Uttar Pradesh).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 01st April 2008: Rain/ snow is likely in at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Isoalted Dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 01st April 2008: Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36°C and 19°C respectively.
