Bougainvillea festival inaugurated

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit inaugurated a two-day Bougainvillea Festival organised by New Delhi Municipal Council in collaboration with Bougainvillea Society of India at Nehru Park here over the weekend.

NDMC chairman Parimal Rai, presided over the function.

Ms. Dikshit urged the various agencies to make Delhi pollution-free and environmentally healthy with the help of bougainvillea species that are characterised by high tolerance to pollution, drought, pests and low soil fertility.
