Book released

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The character of a judge and the efficiency of the bar ultimately decided the quality of the judiciary, said B.V. Nagarathna, Judge, Karnataka High Court. Speaking after releasing a book titled “Administration of Justice in Ancient India” authored by K. Srikntan here on Saturday, Justice Nagarathna said quality of justice will suffer in the absence of a qualified and strong bar.

The book is an edited version of the late Srikantan’s unpublished dissertation, which he had written in the late 1930s.

The manuscript of his dissertation was retrieved a few years ago by his daughter and it was published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
