African students visit e-bhoomi centre

BANGALORE: Registration of crops through mobile phones and providing mutation (change in land title) certificates through Internet are on the anvil, Tahsildar K.S. Gurumurthy said here on Sunday. Soon, maps of lands will also be available online, he said. Mr. Gurumurthy was explaining the features of e-bhoomi project to a study team comprising 45 students from different African countries which visited the e-bhoomi centre at the K.R. Puram taluk office.
He explained to the team that the introduction of e-bhoomi had simplified the process of obtaining documents related to land.
