BANGALORE: A 26-year-old software engineer was killed when she was run over by a lorry near Marappanapalya in Yeshwantapur traffic police limits on Friday. The police said Anuradha was crossing the road when the accident happened. She was on her way to board a bus to Tumkur, where her husband resides, the police said. The Yeshwantpur traffic police have seized the lorry. A search is on for the lorry driver. FireFire broke out in a part of Saptagiri factory on Magadi Road on Saturday. A lorry driver standing near the factory saw the fire and informed the Fire and Emergency Services. One fire engine was sent to put off the fire. The factory owner, Jayaram, has filed a complaint with the Magadi Road police station. ArrestedThe Central Crime Branch police arrested two persons for illegally using domestic gas cylinders for commercial purpose. The police gave the names of accused as Ram (46) and Dhananjay (19) of Bhuvaneshwarinagar. The police have recovered 54 domestic gas cylinders, 25 filling rods and a van.
