PUDUCHERRY: The Police Department has submitted details pertaining to the investigation into the case of alleged cheating involving Education Minister M. O. H. Following a local court order on March 19 to register a case and investigate into a complaint against Mr. Shahjahan for allegedly cheating a financial firm, the D-Nagar police had registered cases against the Minister and five other directors of M.O Hassan Kuthoos Maricar (P) Ltd. The court direction was based on a complaint filed by representatives of Agate Finance Company Limited of Chennai, alleging that Hasan Kuthoos Maricar Company had taken a loan amount of Rs 1.90 crore in 1997 and not repaid the amount in time. Mr. Shahjahan was director of the company when the loan was taken, according to the complainant.
